Happy Birthday to ME!
This is my birthday present from my Mommy and Daddy!
They surprised me with it by bringing it in the house and putting all my toys in side and just waited to see my excitement! It's a very special gift too! Not only did my mommy paint it to match my rocking chair but it has my name on it and this toy box used to belong to my Daddy! It used to be painted yellow and he put stickers all over it. Now it's all mine! It's just my size and it will go perfectly in my room some day!
I love it!
Thanks Mommy and Daddy!
I love you!

Here are some outside pics of me! I love playing outside. This day I was kicking the ball, swinging and moving outside furniture. (The pic of my daddy was taken a different day.)
A Birthday visit
from my Grandmom and Grandpa from Florida.
They were home for a wedding and Birthday visit. They wont be able to come back for my party so it was a real special visit. It was also the first time they got to see my new house and they spent a few days with us!
I was so excited to see them!
Here are a few pictures from our time together!
And now it's time for my Birthday present!
I like this! I got some beautiful outfits that are wonderful for school and the cooler weather. I'm only gonna get better and better at opening presents! Christmas is right around the corner and I'll have more practice till then!
Thank you Grandmom and Grandpa!
It was nice having you and spending some time with you!
xoxo

My First Day of School!
This school stuff is pretty cool!
Mommy and Daddy took me to school this morning and I did GREAT!
This was me before I left for school...
Don't I look so pretty! It was a beautiful day too. High in the mid 70's and sunny.
Here's a look at my day!
For my Cognitive Activity we looked on the ABC Wall for the letter "Hh" and for the picture of a horse.
For my Languge Activity we said the animal sound for horse.
For my Social/Emotional Activity we played with our horse in our classroom.
For my Supplemental Activity (at the Fascination Station) we played with blocks and built a tower. My teacher, Miss Michelle, told me to look around my house for "H" words.
For my Physical Activity, I learned that horses gallop around in the grass, so we galloped around the room.
For my Art Experience I painted with brown paint, and I painted a horse!
And for my Music Activity we listened to music while we painted. We also listened to animal sounds.
My Special message from Miss Michelle reads: "Alexis had a great day. She liked painting her horse with the brown paint."
Mommy came to get me shortly after 5:00pm and I was just coming in from outside play. I was SO excited to see her!
This was me when I got home from school...
It was also really nice to see my baby again. I missed her.
I didn't take my full nap, so I'm a bit tired and cranky. I think I'll go to bed early tonight! I have another busy day at school tomorrow!
Love to everyone!

I have a BIG day tomorrow!
(No, it's not my birthday, yet.)
Tomorrow is my first day of School! I'll be going three days a week to The Malvern School. We have yet to determine if it's a good thing or not, but it's right around the corner from my house. My Daddy is going to be dropping me off and my Mommy will be picking me up!
Mommy told me I will not be able to bring my baby in to my classroom butthat I can still bring her in the car with me and I'll get to play with her when I get home!
I'm looking forward to still being able to wear my pretty clothes! Daddy dressed me this morning and as you can see he was feeling his Hippy side!
Mommy told me instead of making messes at home, I'll be able to make them at school!
It's going to be quite a change but I think I'm going to enjoy it! I get excited when I see other kids my age and now I'll get to play with them and learn with them.
I'm going to learn my shapes, body parts, colors, animal sounds, and new songs. I'll be learning how to say please, how to catch bubbles, and how to paint. I'll learn about musical instruments, how to paint a butterfly with my hands, and my Mommy is really excited that I'll be learning about patience! Maybe I'll even get some!
A few other adjustments I'll be making are...I'll be getting on a one nap a day schedule instead of two a day and instead of sleeping in my crib or pack-n-play, I'll be sleeping in my brand new Princess sleeping bag!
I've made the adjustment from formula over to whole milk and that is going really well! So, instead of drinking my milk out of a bottle, I'll be using my sippy cups! I'll fit right in with the older kids
Not that I didn't already have some sort of a routine or schedule, now it's going to be a whole lot more structured.
This will now be my schedule at school...
7:00am-9:00am Arrive at school
9:00am-9:15am Circle Time (Includes greeting songs, calendar, weather, books, fingerplays, introduction of concepts)
9:15am-9:30am Snack
9:30am-10:30am Developmental Activities/Fascination Station
10:30am-11:15am Outside Play/Physical Activities
11:15am-11:45amDevelopmental Activities in Classroom and lunch prep.
11:45am-12:30pm Lunch and Clean-up Routines
12:30pm-1:00pm Quiet Activities and Transition to Rest Time
1:00pm-3:00pm Rest Time
3:00pm-3:30pm Snack and Self Help Routines
3:30pm-4:00pm Enrichment Activities
4:00pm-5:00pm Outside Play/Physical Activities
5:00pm-6:00pm Learning Center Activities
Sounds like fun right?
Good things are ahead of me!
I'll keep you all posted as to how my First Day of School goes tomorrow!
Wish me well!
Love,
Alexis
