Sibling update!

My little brother or sister has made remarkable changes in the last few days. Take a look at him/her now!
First we see a left hand...next a foot and in the last picture the tech pointed out it's tongue!
At 11 weeks and 3 days he/she is now the size of a large plum and most of it's systems are fully formed. Now they will mature over the next 28 weeks. It weighs as much as half an ounce now, and the crown-to-rump length is about two and a half inches. Believe it or not the baby has more than doubled in size during the past three weeks. The fetal digestive system is beginning to flex its digestive muscle - literally - as it starts practicing contraction movements, a skill the baby will need after birth to push food through the digestive tract. The pituitary gland at the base of the brain has started producing hormones. The bone marrow is making white blood cells, which will one day help the baby fight infection.

With a due date of Sunday, July 15, 2012 - we have 28 weeks and 1 day to go.
Today, December 31, 2011 we are at 11 Weeks and 6 days and still in the 1st Trimester.

I'm glad I could update you.
Until next time...

Love,
Alexis

Christmas Afternoon with

Mom-Mom and Uncle John!
I got to show Uncle John how some of my toys work.
This was a new Christmas ornament with my name on it.
This was a new baby doll!
 Baby!
Here I am reading a book to my baby.
I got my very own Mini Boombox that plays records!

I became so good at opening presents, I was helping my Uncle John.
 I got some new spatulas.

And before he had to leave, Uncle John played ball with me!

I also got some money, a gift card, a pretty pink dress, some books, a santa plate and cup and my very own Leap-Frog computer!

I was a very good girl this year! It's been a busy two days so far and I still have yet to see my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Bob and the cousins. Next Friday I get to see my Grammy, Grandpop and the Warren gang!

Thank you everyone for making my second Christmas very special!
I love you all!
XOXO
Alexis

This was my stocking filled to the top!
My first present that I got in to. Animal cookies!

This will help me learn my letters and numbers.
I got my first coloring book and crayons!

 I got new pink sneakers!
And a small monkey from Miss Evelyn!
I got a story book from my teacher, Miss Michelle.
 Daddy got some Rain-X.
And here is my new soft and silky blanket!
Another chart to measure my height!
Daddy got some more books too!
This was daddy's BIG present...a tool box! (Now he just needs some tools to put in in!)
I also got a portable DVD player for the car. That will be perfect when I go see my Grammy! I also got more hair bows, a Noel picture frame, a #2 Christmas ornament and a barnyard magnetic musical thing.
Time to rest up. Mom-mom and Uncle John are coming to see me!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve 2011 at

Grandmom and Grandad Yarrington's!

Me and Mommy right before we left.

Santa came to see me!
He was a very big man. I waved to him and sat next to him on the couch. Even though I wouldn't let him hold me he was still very good to me.

Here are some pics of me from throughout the night.

These are the cookies I made with mommy to leave for Santa!
I got lots of fun things. I got movies, outfits, hair bows, blocks, another baby doll and crib, a wall mount that will measure my height, another cookies and milk dish, a monkey that is taller than I am and shoes, shoes and more shoes!

Tomorrow Santa comes to my house!
Nighty-night.

Our Christmas Joy!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Our 2011 Family pictures

Our Christmas, joyful announcement!

We missed blueberry, raspberry and green olive...

We are so excited to announce to everyone that Alexis is going to be a BIG sister! We are expected baby #2, mid July 2012!!!

It doesn't look like much but believe it or not, during week 11 our baby is slightly more than two inches long and weighing about a third of an ounce. The head is equal in length to the rest of the body. Hair follicles are forming and fingernail and toenail beds are beginning to develope. The baby's body is straightening and his or her torso is lengthening. Our baby can stretch, do somersaults and forward rolls. If it's a boy, testes would be developing and if it's a girl ovaries are developing.
Lots of exciting stuff going on.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and many joys and blessings for 2012.
Ben, Denise and Alexis
