I surprised the doctors and got some great news!!!
First, my percentages...
I now weigh 18 lbs 1 oz and that puts me in the 33 percentile for weight.
I am 2' 3" inches tall and am in the 53 percentile for length.
And for those of you interested in my head circumference, it's 17.52" which puts me in the 63 percentile.
Want to know how I surprised the doctors???
They asked me many questions... do I recognize my name when called, do I know my mommy, can I transfer a toy from one hand to another, am I babbling...stuff like that.
They wanted to know if I was crawling yet...crawling??? I told them "I am walking!"!!
They asked if mommy introduced me to a sippy cup yet...a sippy cup??? I told them "I drink from a cup with a straw"!!! I showed my doctor that I clap hands and that I'm so big! I told her that I do more than just babble...I can say Da-da and Ba-ba!
They were excited and so happy to see me doing so well!
And now for the good news!
I am able to to try baby yogurt! Doesn't that sound yummy!
But what mommy was most excited to hear is that she can introduce her breast milk to me!!! Hurray! That makes my mommy very happy! In four weeks or so they will recheck my hemocults and if all is well I'll be on the right track for Whole Milk (in three months)!
I don't have to go back to the doctors now for another three months! That will be my 1-year old check-up! Can you believe it!
I like when my check-ups go so well!
